Vancouver weekend

Catching the #24 10:40 bus downtown to catch the #70 11:27 bus to Swartz Bay to catch the one o'clock ferry to meet the girlfriend and her little red car at 2:35. Bringing some books to read (currently Seņor Vivo and the Coca Lord by Louis de Berničres (author Captain Corelli's Mandolin) and the Applied Arts Design and Advertising Annual), though I can't on the bus (read - I get motion sick big time; I tried reading for two blocks last night on the #24 downtown, during a straight section even, and took me half an hour to recover leaning against the magazine racks in Chapters (wait'll I write about the time I got so carsick on a journalism assign. that I lost the feeling in my limbs)).

We're going to check out Emily Carr (the school of art and design) on Granville Island. I'm doing some further-education window shopping. Then maybe rent a movie, drink hot chocolate, go to Ikea on Saturday (I've never been and have a feeling it will take nerve to not buy anything) do some web work later on the girlfriend's compy while she practices guitar. Back on Sunday.
