Dinner and Wildlife

After a nice ride around the waterfront this evening I was watering my landlady's plants (she's gone to a "fabric arts" fair on some Gulf Island for a few days). So as I'm watering these young geraniums or whatever, still hanging in some plastic support bag, this insect, or so I thought, comes leaping out from under the stream of water. It's a tiny little green frog, scared stiff, giving me lots of time to grab the camera.
Then, as I was eating some tuna on toasted bread, legs up and enjoying the sunset, this mother deer and offspring that I've seen around for weeks is eyeing me from on the hill, cautiously making their way past my deck, with just enough time to grab the camera again.
