Gone Fishing
Yesterday was sunny and warm. Today is windy and rain. So we're going fishing in Sooke.
Back from fishing. Shawn was supposed to pick me up, then we'd meet Mark at the Colwood Timmy's. But Shawn went to a kegger night before. His straight forward, 5am email: Can not drive . Cannot go . So Mark phoned the marina for a weather report, guy on the other line said I can't see the weather, it's still freakin' dark out, and hung up. Called marina #2 at sunrise, said small craft warning, a third said it wasn't too bad out. So we took a gander.
We were the only guys out there for quite a while. Calm at first, then got way too choppy for the little boat. Soaked, numb, windy, sea sick and no fish. Packed it in and went for danishes at La Colina's.
