Vancouver to Nelson
Scott is moving to Kennebunkport, Maine, USA. He's driving there and I'm tagging along for the ride. This morning he took the ferry from Victoria and picked me up in Vancouver. We drove to Nelson.

Before heading out I was given the task of configuring an Eee PC and a Garmin GPS for navigating and nerding out with over the course of the drive. There are a few goals: navigate with the 1.4GB complete set of North American maps for 2009; blog the daily GPS data on Google Maps with a cross referenced via time stamps and geo coordinates of photo postings (to Flickr) and music listened to (last.fm). We're also going to rate all of Scott's music (15 days worth) in iTunes.

Organizing the GPS, laptop, stereo, power converter and pizza somewhere in Manning Park. An hour later I notice in my rear view mirror that we'd left the entire tailgate and canopy wide open for over 100 km.
